The need to adapt and modernise has always been central to the story of Ladybird Books Ltd. However, nowhere in its 100+ year history is this more apparent than between 1950 and 1979.
From changing attitudes to the women’s place in the home, to dramatic shifts in design and technology, the rapid transformation occurring during this period was reflected in these new books.
