The World Reimagined

Painted globe with a solid black figure holding a drum, outside Park House (a red brick building).

The World Reimagined Globe Trail Project sees the University become the custodian of seven unique painted Globes. These were originally created as part of a national exhibition of 103 bespoke sculptures in 7 cities across the UK. The four individual globes selected speak to one of nine themes, ranging from Mother Africa through The Reality of Being Enslaved and Echoes in the Present.

Diversity, inclusivity and equality are at the heart of life at Reading. The World Reimagined trail will ask us to face our shared history and learn from it, so that we create a new future in which everyone in our community can say: I am seen.

Painted globe mainly in black with pink details. These are geometric shapes and a repeating face design. This globe is located in front of the Library.
