Henry Matthew Brock (1875-1960) was a prolific book and magazine illustrator who found particular success illustrating children’s books and also contributed to Punch.

The collection comprises around 2000 books in which Brock’s work was published, many periodical volumes and parts, ephemera such as cigarette cards and pictures.

Many of the works are children’s titles.

The collection was donated to the University Library by Lester Corrall in 1994. Since then, additional books and original drawings have been added to the collection from other sources.
