Delve into the life of James Joyce, the author who created the enigmas and puzzles of Ulysses and Finnegans Wake, in this exhibition of the Solange and Stephen James Joyce Collection.

The personal papers of James Joyce reveal a large social network of friends and artists, a loving father and the inspiration for his work. The archive also shows the practical adjustments Joyce made to allow him to work despite his ill health.

Alongside the archive is a display of books from the family’s library, celebrating James Joyce’s love of language and editions of The cat and the devil, a fable written by James Joyce to Stephen in a letter.
