Records relating to student life in Halls can be found within several collections.
The University History Collection (UHC) contains records of the joint committees concerned with the day-to-day running of the Halls, and records relating to planning, building and extending the Halls. Posters and photographic material within the UHC capture the student life and events held at the Halls through time.
There are many deposits of personal papers from alumni that contain information and images of life in Halls. Follow this link for more information: University of Reading student papers
Deposits from the individual Halls of Residence are catalogued in separate collections and are listed below. Those collections still to be catalogued have been indicated by the use of italics. We are working on cataloguing these collections. When items are catalogued, they become searchable via the online catalogue.
Please contact us if you need more information about any of these collections.
