Reading University Reserve Collection (R.U. Reserve Collection)

A collection of published material, by or about the University, covering the period from 1892 to the present day. Classified in the Dewey Decimal system.

Publications relating to the University of Reading :

• Published works issued by the University (and the University College for the years 1892-1926) and its departments, centres, institutes, estates, etc. They range from annual reports to library guides, from individual school prospectuses to departmental newsletters, from official calendars to Open day leaflets.
• Academic research, both monographs and articles/offprints, whose author(s) were members of staff at the time of publication, or works by eminent alumni of the University of Reading. Academic journals published by the University’s departments, centres and institutes.
• Works relating to the history of the University, resulting from events held at the University (e.g. conferences, exhibitions, celebrations).
• Ephemera and zines printed by the Students Union, student groups and societies over the decades, as well as staff bodies.
