The use of our collections for teaching and learning is as broad as the subjects they cover.

Our museums and collections support teaching and learning for all ages, from pre-school work and school visits (including online resources to be used either at the museum or in the classroom), through to university teaching and support for doctoral students.

Several of our museums and collections are fully integrated within academic departments, while our overall support for collections-based teaching is sector-leading.

One instance of this is the University’s acclaimed Museum Studies undergraduate programme, which offers a unique opportunity to combine a heritage qualification with Archaeology or Classics at an undergraduate level.
