Research & Education

The University of Reading has a long history of excellence in zoological research, stretching back to the foundation of the University and the appointment in 1906 of Francis Cole to the Chair of Zoology. At a time when many universities are dropping their name degrees in favour of more generic biology degrees, we are continuing to improve and develop the study of zoology.

The Cole Museum welcomes researchers from within the University of Reading and those from other institutions. Please contact us using the Research Request Form so we can discuss how we might work together.
