Several of the collections of publishers archives and records are on deposit here at the University of Reading by Penguin Random House UK. These are:

- Jonathan Cape (JC)
- Chatto & Windus (CW)
- The Hogarth Press (MS 2750)
Accessing the archives
Permission for research access is granted by PRH. You will need to contact the PRH Archive & Library regarding your request.
Permission is approved on a file-by-file basis. You will need to search our online database and email PRH Archive and Library a list of the files that you wish to see. Please include the reference code, the title, and the date (where applicable).
Permissions for ALL files must be received BEFORE your visit. We cannot produce files until we have received permissions via email from PRH. We cannot accept in person requests at the reading room desk.
