Life Drawing with Jenny Halstead

A rare opportunity to work with a life model in the splendid space of the Sir John Madejski Art Gallery in Reading Museum, surrounded and inspired by the figurative exhibition Rubens to Sickert: The Study of Drawing.

We will be exploring form, structure and body movement as well as the relationship between figure and space. Workshops will be led by local artist Jenny Halstead.

Please bring a variety of dry materials (for example):

• pencil
• charcoal
• conte, sepia, water-soluble pens or pencils
• pastel, soft or oil
• aqua-brush filled with water for washes or small amount of water and brush.
• paper – white and half-tone
• easel – if you have one
• drawing board
• cloth for the floor.

No ink, acrylic or oil can be used in the gallery.
